As the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Chief Accounting Officer of the AKSPHCDA, the Executive Secretary is the Head of the Management team, coordinating their activities at the headquarters and is also responsible for the day-to-day administration of the AKSPHCDA. The ES is responsible for coordinating activities, primary care service delivery, healthcare personnel and program outcomes across the 31 LGHAs of the state.
The health sector component of the ARISE Agenda of the administration of His Excellency Pastor Umo Bassey Eno Ph.D, as delivered through the Honourable Commissioner of Health Dr. Ekem Emmanuel John, are interpreted and implemented at primary healthcare level in this role.
The Executive Secretary also serves as Secretary to the Governing Board.
Dr. ANGELA ENO ATTAH
Dr. Angela Eno Attah serves as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Chief Accounting Officer of the Akwa Ibom State Primary Healthcare Development Agency (AKSPHCDA). An accomplished public health practitioner and administrator with expertise in the promotion and provision of primary health care, project development as well as private sector engagement in healthcare delivery.
Dr. Attah has made landmark achievements in both the private and public health sectors in the state and at national and regional levels. Her contributions to improving access to primary healthcare, strengthening public-private sector collaboration, advancing epidemiological practice and promoting public health nutrition have earned her widespread recognition and respect. She holds both a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (M.B, B,S) as well as Masters, Public Health (M.P.H) degrees from the University Of Lagos, alongside several other medical certifications in health management.
