The Directorate has the following mandates and functions:
- Coordinate policy, plan formulation and priority settings for the Agency.
- Coordinate monitoring and evaluation of the health system and its performance.
- Provide evidence-based health information, knowledge management and deployment of ICT for decision making.
- Coordinate human resource for health development.
- Operationalise effective managerial processes and structures.
- Promote essential national health research for efficient health system development.
- Coordinate resource mobilization and healthcare financing activities.
MR. ANIEKAN EFFIONG DAVID
Mr. Aniekan Effiong David is a seasoned statistician, and development strategist with over fifteen years of experience in data management, planning, monitoring and evaluation, health systems strengthening, and public sector administration. He currently serves as the Director of Planning, Research and Statistics and Supervising Director, Basic Healthcare Provision Fund (BHCPF) at the Akwa Ibom State Primary Healthcare Development Agency (AKSPHCDA), where he provides strategic leadership in health planning, policy formulation, research, monitoring and evaluation, healthcare financing, and evidence-based decision-making.
