Healthcare Delivery in Akwa Ibom State

Health is wealth and the administration of Governor Udom Emmanuel fervently believes in this epigram. This belief has informed the massive turn around that the State has witnessed in the last 4 years.

What we do

The Akwa Ibom State Primary Healthcare Development Agency is charged with the responsibility of ensuring adequate primary health care services in the State. Working with development partners, we make basic health services available, ensuring communities have access to health facilities, services and basic health insurance. Our goal is to make basic health services people-oriented and delivered according to established quality standards and protocols.

Vision

To ensure that the general populace in Akwa Ibom State have access to affordable and equitable Primary Healthcare Services with the support of all stakeholders through a system that delivers integrated quality services.

Mission

To promote and implement sustainable, high quality Primary Healthcare Services in Akwa Ibom State. To support Primary Healthcare delivery through partnership, collaboration, resource mobilization, development of community-based systems and functional Primary Healthcare infrastructure in Akwa Ibom State.
