DR. (MRS.) ENO ANGELA ATTAH

Executive Secretary, Akwa Ibom State Primary Healthcare Development Agency


An accomplished public health practitioner and administrator with expertise in the promotion and provision of primary health care, project development as well as private sector engagement in healthcare delivery.
Dr. Attah has made landmark achievements in both the private and public health sectors in the state and at national and regional levels. Her contributions to improving access to primary healthcare, strengthening public-private sector collaboration, advancing epidemiological practice and promoting public health nutrition have earned her widespread recognition and respect. She holds both a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (M.B, B,S) as well as Masters, Public Health (M.P.H) degrees from the University Of Lagos, alongside several other medical certifications in health management.
She has served as Co-Chairman Advisory Board, Managing Hypertension Among People Living with HIV: An InTegrated Model (MAP-IT) Project (since 2019). Dr. Attah is a distinguished Kofi Annan Fellow in Global Health Leadership (2025), and is currently the Executive Secretary, Akwa Ibom State Primary Healthcare Development Agency (AKSPHCDA).
In a distinguished public service career, she has served in several strategic capacities within the Ministry of Health including State Project Coordinator Accelerating Nutrition Results in Nigeria (ANRiN World Bank Project) and Assistant State Epidemiologist, Directorate of Public Health Services to name a few. She has garnered vast experience as a primary care practitioner, leading the medical team in health delivery to various communities, mentoring and providing supportive supervision to frontline healthcare workers in collaboration with development partners on programs/projects through the State and Federal Ministries of Health.
Her values of leadership, collaboration and commitment are key to her success. She is happily married with children.
